ABOUT
US
Bags of
Hope Central Florida is an outreach to the homeless of Central
Florida. We began this outreach in April of 2009. We bring
special bags full of essential items to the homeless who are
living in the woods of Central Florida. We do this for several
reasons. First of all, to extend humanitarian aid to them
in the form of needed items to help them cope as they live
homeless. Secondly, we feel that the Bags of Hope remind the
homeless that someone does remember them, someone cares, and
that there is HOPE. Bags of Hope Central Florida believes
that if a person feels HOPE, they are then open to HELP. Without
feeling HOPE a person may not even believe that help is a
possibility.
Bags of
Hope Central Florida also visits Grace N Grits in Sanford
(soup kitchen) and various shelters in Central Florida to
bring clothing and other needed items. We were blessed to
distribute over 200 Backpacks loaded with school supplies
to children in need this past August.
Together
we can make a difference in our local community! As Mother
Teresa tells us, "If you cannot feed one hundred, then
just feed one." And she goes on to say, "If we have
no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to
each other." We need to be that change that we want to
see in our local community. And together we truly can make
a difference. Join us!
